What Is Cargo Insurance?

Cargo insurance is a policy carried by auto transport carriers that covers: Physical damage caused during transport Damage resulting from carrier negligence Coverage limits and terms vary by carrier and insurer.

What Is Typically Covered

Scratches, dents, or damage caused during loading, transport, or unloading Damage documented on the Bill of Lading at delivery

What Is Typically NOT Covered

Pre-existing damage Personal items left inside the vehicle Mechanical issues unrelated to transport Acts of God (depending on policy terms)

Insurance Coverage Limits

Each carrier has specific coverage limits, which may: Vary by vehicle type Have maximum payout amounts Require documentation and repair estimates We can provide carrier insurance information upon request.

Your Responsibility as the Vehicle Owner
